Syracuse Gastroenterological Associates (SGA) is the oldest established gastroenterology practice in Central NY. The practice has 2 office locations.
Syracuse Gastroenterological Associates (SGA), consists of physicians and mid level providers (see about us for information on our providers and administration)
Procedures are performed at the Crouse Hospital Outpatient Endoscopy Unit in the CNY Medical Center (Syracuse). Crouse Hospital Outpatient Endoscopy Unit is connected to our CNY office. Dr. David Kaplan and Dr. Dennis Reedy serve as medical directors. The practice also participates in a variety of clinical research studies, including the treatment of Hepatitis C and inflammatory bowel disease.
The physicians of SGA are accomplished in a wide array of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, which include:
Colonoscopy
Upper Endoscopy
ERCP
SpyGlass® (direct visualization of the biliary tree)
Stenting of obstructions of the esophagus, colon and biliary tree
Wireless Capsule Endoscopy
Breath testing for lactose intolerance and bacterial overgrowth
