Mark Kasowitz is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He trained in Internal Medicine at university of Maryland and in Gastroenterology at the Upstate Medical Center (now called Upstate Medical University) In Syracuse, NY.
Dr. Kasowitz is recognized as an expert in the management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease, and lectures frequently on this topic.
Dr. Michael Sipple
After 27 years with Syracuse Gastro, Dr Sipple will be retiring on 12/31/2018.
Michael Sipple trained in Internal Medicine and in Gastroenterology at the SUNY Health Science Center (now called Upstate Medical University) in Syracuse, NY. Dr. Sipple has expertise in diseases of the biliary tract, treatment of malignant obstructions of the esophagus, and laser therapy of bleeding lesions In the GI tract.

Dr. Dennis Reedy
Dennis Reedy is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He trained in Internal Medicine at Albany Medical College In Albany, NY and in Gastroenterology at the SUNY Health Science Center (now called Upstate Medical University).
In Syracuse, NY, Dr. Reedy's areas of expertise include esophageal motility and management of diseases of the biliary tract.
Dr. David Kaplan
Dr. Kaplan is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He was elected to Fellowship of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American College of Physicians. He is also a Fellow of the American Gastroenterologlcal Association. He Graduated in 1983 from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He completed his internship, residency and Fellowship at the SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse. He has extensive experience and Interest in the management of inflammatory bowel disease and diseases of the biliary tree and pancreas. He has lectured frequently on various gastrointestinal disorders.
Intikhab Iqbal, MD
Dr. Iqbal joined Syracuse Gastro In April 2011 after the retirement of Dr. David Honold. He is a graduate of Rawalpindi Medical College and is board certified in Internal Medicine. He Is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, New York Society of Gastroenterology and American Society for study of Liver Diseases. Dr. Iqbal diagnoses and treats all aspects of digestive diseases/disorders and maintains a special interest In colon rectal cancer screening, hepatology, and Capsule Endoscopy.
Adam M. Berg, MD
Dr. Berg joined Syracuse Gastro in 2013 after finishing his fellowship in gastroenterology at Boston University Medical Center. He completed his internal medicine training at Yale New Haven Hospital and graduated from medical school at George Washington University in Washington DC. Specializing in fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT or fecal transplantation). He has a special interest in luminal diseases especially inflammatory bowel disease (IBD- ulcerative colitis and crohn’s disease) and irritable bowel syndrome. He has several peer reviewed articles on IBD and Clostridium difficile.
Young Lee, MD
Young Lee is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He trained in Internal Medicine at
New Jersey Medical School / Rutgers University and Gastroenterology at Westchester Medical Center / New York Medical College.
Dr Lee completed an additional fellowship in advanced endoscopy at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City.
Vincent LoCoco, RPA-C
Vincent LoCoco received his degree as a Physician Assistant from Albany Medical College In Albany, NY.
He has been with Syracuse Gastroenterologlcal Associates since 1997.
Karrie Glatt, NP
Karrie is a graduate of Seton Hall University where she received a bachelors of science in nursing.
She was an ICU nurse for 7 years before graduating from Upstate Medical University with her degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Karrie had worked as an NP for Crouse for 6 years prior to coming to SGA in 2016.
Brittany Crawford, PA
Brittany joined Syracuse Gastro in 2017. She graduated from Daemen College's Physician Assistant program in Buffalo, NY in 2015. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the New York State Society of Physician Assistants. Brittany is a Syracuse native, who in many different capacities, has worked and volunteered at local hospitals within the community. She participates in frequent medical mission trips and has provided medical care to many underserved communities in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Honduras.
